Silver Bell Historical Society (SBHS) is a unique organization dedicated to preserving the history of the former mining towns of Silver Bell (during the last half of the 20th century) and Silverbell, located a few miles northwest of our newer community, which thrived during the latter part of the 19th and early into the 20th century. Populations were approximately 1,200 and 1,000 respectively. Formerly located in the “middle of nowhere,” in the Silver Bell Mountains, at the end of Avra Valley Road, Silver Bell still lives on in the hearts and minds of its former residents. SBHS has coordinated three days of celebration and reunion events, beginning March 8, for the former miners, spouses, and children (most of whom are now middle age) who consider Silver Bell their home. Commitments came pouring in when the reunion was announced, and we expect over 250 to participate.
The reunion has created sponsorship opportunities for businesses in Tucson, Marana and throughout Southern Arizona. The former miners and family members are both patriotic and loyal to businesses and vendors who support SBHS, including the big reunion and ongoing newsletters to members and associates. Your commitment will help defray costs as well as promote historical preservation for the Silver Bell district, which traces mining activities back to Native Americans in past centuries. Sponsorship opportunities are limited, which will enable our business partners and associates to increase their visibility and profile among patrons and their families and friends. This includes sponsorship thank you announcements, web site and newsletters, and recognition at the main dinner event and display tables for Platinum and Gold Sponsors. However, even the Copper and Turquoise sponsorship levels will be rewarded in the program.
A breakdown of sponsorship levels and event sponsorships (first come, first served) is provided herein. Just to recap, for a reasonable cost, sponsors will have a captive and loyal reunion event audience to share their products and services with and at the same time contribute to the preservation of the history of Silver Bell and its predecessor community, dating back to the 19th century. This is your opportunity to be part of the “Congratulations Silver Bell” movement.
